Pillaging the Pirates

Yesterday the Badgers hosted the Green River Pirates.  This is the second match-up against Pirates this season.  In the first quarter the game was kept close with a score of 29-14 favoring the Badgers.

In the second quarter the Badgers maintained their lead by adding another 27 points to the score bringing it to 56-29.  As the Badgers travelled to the locker room a win looked like a sure thing.  This same attitude carried into the third quarter as the Badgers scored in the 20’s for the third time this game.  The Badgers fierce game brought the score to 82-43.  With the Badgers double what the Pirates scored new faces were introduced to the game.  With the new faces they introduced another 14 points.  Bringing the final score to 96-64.  The leading scorer of the game was Wyatt VanOrden.  He scored 27 points and 3 3-pointers.  Leading rebounder of the night was Paden Peterson with 5.  Many of the new faces that played last night contributed many points.  These faces included Braige Jacobson, Ian Fillmore, Mason Stevens, and Traven Peterson.  As the season is drawing to an end we wish the Badgers luck in the pursuit of a state title.  The Badgers record is now 13-5.  We are sad that the season is coming to an end.  The Badgers next game is on the 9th of February.  This will be three players last time on their home court.  GO BADGERS!!!!
