Taking advantage of beautiful weather, Loa Elementary students, teachers, and parents hiked several trails at Capitol Reef National Park over a two day period.
On the first day, Kindergarten, First Grade, and Second Grade classes made the trip—with the Kindergarten hiking Grand Wash, the First Grade hiking Hickman Bridge, and Second Grade hiking Sulphur Creek.
On day two, Third Grade hiked Chimney Rock, with Fourth & Fifth Grade hiking the Cohab Canyon trail. Each day also featured marathon sessions of kickball & ultimate tag, conducted by Mrs. Woolsey, after hiking.
Principal Blackburn’s description of the two days was “fantastic!” And, the faculty would like to thank all the parents who attended for helping make the outing such a success.
