WMSArchers

Mr. Scott Ellett’s team of 7th & 8th Grade archery competitors took 5th place at the Utah NASP State Tournament.

The top 5 finish out of 23 teams is an improvement over last year’s 12th place finish.

The team built on last year’s effort, along with archery learned and practiced in physical education classes, in addition to six weeks of practice heading into the February 15th event.

Top 50 finishers in the Middle School Boys and Middle School Girls divisions were Ryker Bradbury, Jacob Batty, and Brylee Brown, respectively.

NASP stands for National Archery in the Schools Program. The National Archery in the Schools Program is an in-school program aimed at improving educational performance among students in grades 4th – 12th. And through it, students are learning focus, self-control, discipline, patience, and the life lessons required to be successful in the classroom and in life.
