Ski Trip

2018

This year's annual ski trip took place February 28th.  It is one of the quarterly activities (2nd quarter) organized for WMS students each school year.  The quarterly activities are intended to be a reward for students who have earned the privilege of participating by passing all of their classes and having good citizenship during the previous quarter.

Students and staff loaded up on busses early in the morning and headed to Brian Head Ski Resort above Cedar City, Utah. The resort is a welcoming place that offers lessons, and is very accommodating for our large group. Everyone was excited to get to spend a day away from school, and to have some fun!

Some slept, others visited, and some looked out the window during the drive.  Upon arrival, everyone received some instructions and some help organizing equipment and activities.  Then, it was time to hit the slopes for some skiing and snowboarding.  The lunch break gave everyone a chance to visit and share stories about their morning adventures. When lunch was over, it was back to the slopes for some more action.

After some more runs on the slopes, it was time to load up on the busses for the drive back to Wayne County.  The bus ride home was a little quieter, due to many being a little tired and worn out from the long day.  Some came home with a few bumps and bruises and some came home with a sunburn, but everyone came home with some memories that will last for a long time.
