Contract Mental Health Therapist - Wayne School District is recruiting contractual therapists for the 2021-2022 school year who are credentialed and meet requirements to provide Mental Health Therapy in the state of Utah. 

The Mental Health Therapist is responsible for providing skilled counseling and other social services to individuals, families, and groups who require assistance in resolving personality, emotional, and/or environmental problems which interfere with their daily personal/social functioning and academics. Experience in play therapy and trauma therapy preferred.  Additionally, this role may require facilitating groups and educational nights as well as providing assessments and appropriate clinical interventions.

Although mental health therapists  work on a contractual basis, Wayne School District expects therapists to uphold the responsibilities, professionalism, and integrity that are required of all staff members. Wayne School District has standard organizational policies (sexual harassment, discrimination, etc.) to protect individuals and maintain an overall professional environment required to abide by such policies. Wayne School District  expects thatTherapists will perform their duties with the utmost level of integrity and professionalism. Therapists must abide by the ethical standards outlined by the State of Utah and the professions in which they are licensed.

    • Masters Degree in social work, marriage and family counseling, or professional counseling.
    • Therapists must be licensed and have at least two years of practicing therapeutic treatment including CBT, MST, MDFT and DBT, play therapy, etc.
    • LAPC, LPC, LMSW, LMFT or LCSW licensure by the Utah Department of Occupational and Professional Licensing 
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Early Literacy Aide

Candidate will work closely with Loa Elementary students and teachers to assist with literacy goals. Position is 27 hours per week with some flexibility.
