Electronic Submission of Information
Electronic Submission of Information—
Beginning July 1, 2027, and with the exceptions set out below, when the District requires or requests a person to submit a form, a record, or information, the District will, instead of requiring the person to appear in person or otherwise provide a physical copy of the form, record, or information, provide an electronic means of submission. Electronic means may include:
- electronically completing and electronically signing the form;
- downloading the form, completing and physically or electronically signing the form, and submitting a copy of the completed and signed form electronically, by email or other electronic means;
- entering the information online;
- uploading the completed and signed form, the record, or the information; or
- sending the record or information by email or other electronic means.
This requirement does not apply if prohibited by an express provision of law or to the extent that the law requires the person to fill out the form in person or to submit the form, record, or information in person. It also does not apply if the person is incarcerated or if the person is required to submit a fingerprint with the form, record, or information for the purpose of conducting a criminal background check.
