LES Community Council Meeting Minutes February 1, 2023

Community Council February 1,2023

Attendance: Parents- Beth Peisner, Kallie Brian, Tacey Wood, Missy Daley 

Teacher- Amber Draper, Principal-Wendy Potter 

Welcome by Missy at 2:45

Motion to approve November minutes by Tacey, 2nd by Missy at 2:46

Budget discussion- There is some tech funds left, working on spending the supply budget,  $1400 spent on contract services. $1300 for the author & illustrated visit on January 26, 2023 and $100 for the art gallery in the hallway for January. There is $100 left in the contract service budget. 

Field trip budget- there are field trips coming up to use those funds. 

Didn't spend all of the money from 2020-21, so there was a carry over that year which impacted the 2021-22 budget with another carry over. The budget is looking like we will be able to not have carry over for 2022-23.   

90 day review of plan. 

Student art display will be May 4th, need volunteers for hanging up the art work, 

Sell cookies? Or treat? During the art display, where it is a PTC day. 

Open reading specialist job in March. Kristen leaving early for maternity leave. 

Krispy kreme fundraiser has started, forms back by February 10th with delivery of donuts and vouchers on February 16th. Vouchers this year, hoping more will be able to sell donuts to those outside the area with the vouchers. 

Follow up for 3rd and 4th with Kari & Loveland Aquarium.
