Community Council October 4, 2023

Attendance: 

Parents: Steven Deem, Missy Daley, Erin Palmer, Tacey Wood 

Teachers: Timberlee Wood,  Amber Draper

Welcome and introductions: Wendy 

Motion to begin meeting and approve April minutes at 2:52: Timberlee, Missy 2nd. 

Nominating chair and vice chair: Tacey nominated Steven as chair and Erin as Vice Chair, Timberlee 2nd. Unanimous approval for both. 

Budget: Last year ( school year 2022-2023) we had a surplus and heading into this year, we do not have that surplus. Overview of where the funds have been budgeted from the 2022-2023 council. Discussion on how the budget will be impacted by the addition of 6th grade to the elementary. 

Egg drop on October 12th and 13th, PTO in charge of this. Egg drop will happen on Friday. 

TSSA provides funds for $67,712 per year and this fund has been used for reduced classrooms, especially in Kindergarten through 3rd. 

Wendy to resend out community council videos.
