Kristen Stephenson State FCCLA President

KristenWayne High School’s own Kristen Stephenson has been chosen to be the State of Utah President of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America or FCCLA. FCCLA is a national Career and Technical Student Organization that provides personal growth, leadership development, and career preparation opportunities for students in Family and Consumer Sciences education.

FCCLA’s mission is to promote personal growth and leadership development through Family and Consumer Sciences education. Focusing on the multiple roles of family member, wage earner and community leader, members develop skills for life through: character development, creative and critical thinking, interpersonal communication, practical knowledge, and career preparation.

She will represent nearly 3,015 students throughout our state. Kristen is responsible for attending FCCLA State Board meetings, planning state level FCCLA activities and conducting all state FCCLA meetings. In July Kristen will be attending the FCCLA National Convention in Nashville Tennessee and then in November she will attend the Capitol Leadership Conference in Washington D.C., representing Utah. Her strong leadership skills were evident as she was chosen for this position. As she serves at the Utah President of FCCLA she will continue to hone her leadership skills, which will be valuable for her in the future. We are proud of Kristen and wish her the best.
