5th Place Let Down

After the win against the Wildcats the Badgers toed up against the Piute T-birds that bet them earlier in the regular season. The Badgers unfortunately were down their leading scorer due to an injury in the previous game. The Badgers refused to back down and fought hard against the T-birds. In the first quarter the Badgers fell behind, but they were still in the ballgame with a 7-15 lead. In the second quarter the Badgers added a little more to the board, but the T-birds would not let up. Leaving the score at half 14-28. After the half the Badgers came out on the fight and outscored the T-bird in the third raising the score to 27-39. The Badgers were still down and they needed a big move to catch the T-birds. As the fourth drew to an end the Badgers could not overcome the T-birds. They fell 41-52. Leading scorer of the game Hannah Morrill with 16 and one 3-pointer. With the season at a close we wish the team luck as they pursue new avenues. Good Job Ladies.
