Being Stomped Out

Friday the Badgers travelled to Monitcello to face off against the Buckaroos.  After the long drive the Badgers couldn't pull it together in the first quarter.  Leaving the score of 7-20 on the scoreboard.

 As the second quarter rolled around Wayne woke up and add 15 to their score bringing the board to 22-31.  When the teams returned from the lockerooms Wayne came out on the fight bringing the score to 36-46.  Did the Badgers have enough fight left in them to crawl back and take the game?  With the fourth quarter underway Wayne out scored the Buckaroos 21-18, but fell short in conquering the impressive lead from the first quarter.  The final score of the game came to 57-64.  This was a very hard loss for the team.  The leading scorer of the game was again Garrett Chappell with 26 points and 2 3-pointers.  In a suprising second leading scorer was senior post Paden Peterson with 10 points.  This loss brings the Badgers record to 8-5.  The next home game is on Saturday against Whitehorse Raiders.
