Sinking the Pirates

Yesterday the Lady Badgers hosted the Green River Pirates.  In a one sided domianation match-up Wayne held a substantial lead over the Pirates.  

In the first quarter the Badgers out scored the Pirates 23 to 6.  The second quarter the scoring was a little closer but the Pirates still fell far behind at 39 to 20.  After the half Wayne's game picked up the pace as they again out scored the Pirates and lead them 54 to 25.  With the last quarter underway the Pirates excepted defeat to the Badgers with a final score of 74 to 43.  The top scores of the game were Brynnli Nelson, 21 points and 4 3 pointers, Hannah Morrill, 19 points and 3 3 pointers, and Maloree Mitchell, 15 points and 1 3 pointer.  The lone senior on the team Sierra Blackburn contributed multiple steals, rebounds, and points.  We wish the ladies luck as they face Monument Valley on the 5th.  Their record now is 8-3.  They have won the last five games in a row come out and support this amazing group of athletes.
