Third Round Success

As the Badgers fell into the consolation bracket from the loss against the Rebels. They were set to face off against the Wendover Wildcats. As the first quarter approached the Badgers remained strong and vowed to fight hard to take the win. Their work paid off with an early lead of 9-5. This lead was then cut back as the Wildcats showed up to the game out scoring the Badgers leaving the half score at 17-18. Before the half Wayne suffered a hard blow as Brynnli Nelson was injuried going for a ball. Wayne knew that they had to set up if they wanted to win this game and advance to the placement round. Step up they did. In the third quarter the Badgers nearly doubled their score. The score that the end of the third was 33-29. This drive didn’t stop there. They again outscored the WIldcats for the win and a final score of 45-40. The Badgers live to play another day. The leading scorers of the game was Brynnli Nelson with 10, and Abby Stevens with a close second with 9. The Badgers face off against the Piute T-birds on Saturday for 5th place. Let’s go Ladies.
