The first weekend of November, Wayne High students performed the Rodgers and Hammerstein's South Pacific. This play is about Nellie Forbush-played by Vanessa Barlow.  She loves Emile de Becque-played by Jaden Blackburn. Nellie is known all across the island as an attractive, funny, and bubbly woman from the U.S. As she finds out new things about Emile, Lieutenant Joe Gabel-played by Traven Peterson-steps foot on the island. He meets Bloody Mary-played by Maloree Mitchell-the island woman who spends time with the GI’s stationed on the island under the command of Captain Bracket-played by CJ Roderick- with his commander Harbison-played by Wyatt Van Orden. Lieutenant Gabel meets Bloody Mary’s daughter, Liat-played by Katie Wilson- and falls in love with her beauty. It was a great play and everyone did an amazing job. Special thanks to Ashley Oyler and Joni Taft for helping everything come together along with everyone who donated props. Thanks to everyone who came and watched to support Wayne High students.
